One of our primary lesson horses, Monkey, was an important part of the Horsehaven family for some time.

Our very first lesson horse, this black Morgan built our lesson program. He taught dozens of people to ride. Kind and intelligent, Monkey gave lessons up to the day he died. Whether it was a lead-line lesson with the tiniest of students or teaching an adult to canter, Monkey was the quintessential lesson horse.

Monkey, we miss you and know we’ll never have another good guy like you!
